1 day brief: interface investigation

This is my take on the interface investigation of our groups object the typewriter. It’s an initial design and would be developed further into a full field guide. I first intended to create a tree shape from the typewriters and have the letters falling from the tree into the ‘typewrong’.

Playing about with the scanned images of the typewriters I decided to arrange them into what I thought was a pleasing spaced pattern on the page and connect them with irregular lines with irregularly spaced dots to create a map. Hopefully if i get the chance I plan to print a copy and run it through an actual typewriter to add the text alongside the dots.
